United has approval under Development Consent (DA-410-11-2002-i) to produce up to 2.95 million tonnes (2.95 MT) of saleable coal per annum. Run of Mine (ROM) coal is washed on site at the coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP). The product coal is transported to the Wambo coal loader utilising haul trucks via a private internal haul road. The product coal is stockpiled at the coal loader and then loaded onto trains to the Port of Newcastle for export.
