Kurrajong Waratah is a not for profit organisation providing services to over 600 babies, children and adults with disabilities from throughout the Riverina Murray region. We have been in operation for over 50 years. In addition to recent mergers with disability services in West Wyalong and Leeton, we have most recently merged with The Cypress Centre in Narrandera. A voluntary Board of Directors provides the organisation's governance. The day to day management is administered by a professional management team. It is our mission to deliver services that cater for the needs of people with disabilities and their families. Our focus is on the ability, and on the potential of the individual. This remains a key objective in all our programs. The services provided by Kurrajong Waratah are broad and cover the areas of early intervention, supported and open employment, vocational training, supported accommodation, independent living and day and retirement programs . Our community education program helps draw public attention to the needs and aspirations of babies, children and adults with disabilities and their families. It creates greater awareness of their capabilities, and the significant contribution they can make to the life of their community. Kurrajong Waratah work closely with the community to provide the shortfall between government funding and funds required to maintain services. Annually, Kurrajong Waratah is required to earn or raise more than 50% of its income. To maintain our services we rely on the support of families, service groups, corporations and small businesses, trusts and individuals through donations and sponsorship . The future - as the community grows so does the demand for Kurrajong Waratah's services. Currently there is a waiting list for all areas of our services. We are continually planning and developing opportunities to meet the needs of people with disabilities. With your help and support we can achieve our aim.
