About Us Our company, Fork Truck Specialists, has been operating for 17 years with some of our employees having been in the industry over 30 years. Glenn began with an apprentice and himself, and now employ 31 people and are dealers in Tasmania for TCM and Manitou forklift trucks plus also servicing equipment for a wide variety of manufacturers. We have qualified personnel who are able to repair diesel, petrol, gas and electric forkilifts as well as most mobile machinery. At our premises we are able to carry out the following:- i. engine overhauls, repairs to hydraulics, starter motors, alternators, battery charges as well as general machining and welding repairs. We will undertake mechanical and safety audits on forklift trucks. We use a computeriesed fleet management /maintenance proram to ensure your forklift is serviced and maintained regularly. We have a workshop at Ulverstone (North West Coast of Tasmania), which we have been operating from the past 12 years and in September 03 we established a workshop and training centre in Hobart. We also cover the Launceston area (North East Tasmania) from Ulverstone as it is only an hour from the workshop. Loan forklifts are provided in the event the customer unit requires full workshop repairs. We have in excess of 400 individual customers and we maintain a number of fleets including Australian Paper, both Wesley vale and Burnie mills, both of which have approximately 30 units. Other activities we are involved in include parts and service for Tennant sweepers (we are the authorised Tasmanian parts and service agent), fork and medium rigid truck driver training and assessment, as well as hire of general materials handling equipment and industrial sweeping equipment. We also provide a general freight transport division in Hobart with 5 hi-ab and tilt tray trucks and this is continuing to be a rapidly growing area.
