In 2014 Triumph Business Systems is excited to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Triumph had humble beginnings with Triumph founders, Michael Macliver and Clive Richmond, developing the software at home. In 1989 Triumph got its very first customer, Hitech Brake & Clutch (who are still with us today!), and that date marked the beginning of Triumph.
In just 25 years Triumph has grown from a two-man show based in Perth WA, to become a well-established, trusted and leading product within the Australian software industry, with a strong dealer network spanning the nation and thousands of users across Australia and internationally.
Over the past 25 years we have seen several major technological and regulatory challenges, and Triumph has confronted all of them. We have provided continued and seamless migration to Windows, Y2K, GST, and more recently, cloud computing.
Triumph has played a major role in many of the success stories of our clients. We have helped a retail business to grow from a single store to become Australia’s leader in their industry. We have helped a construction company grow from an annual turnover of 20 million to over 400 million. These case studies speak for themselves, and clearly illustrate the capacity and flexibility of Triumph’s product and its ability to help hundreds of companies to grow their business.
Commenting on the company’s 25th anniversary, Michael Macliver, MD of Triumph Business Systems, says that despite the many great accomplishments, there is still a lot we want to achieve. “We are constantly improving and expanding our product based on client and dealer feedback,” says Michael.
“Not only do we enjoy what we do, but we get a lot of enjoyment out of seeing companies benefit from the software we provide. All companies need software; if we can provide the best software in that category and help companies to grow and achieve their goals, it is very rewarding and we feel like we have done what we set out to do.”
