When needing care for an elderly parent, Harvey and Bridget endured their own experience and frustrations with various care providers and carers, and quickly recognised a gap in the market. They saw a need for a care service in the local area that would be compatible with their own values, treat people with respect and dignity, as well as improve the emotional and physical well-being of others. So, in February 2014, Harvey and Bridget established Simply Helping Geelong and Barwon. From humble beginnings and a team of two others, Simply Helping Geelong and Barwon has grown. Today it includes more than 120 carers and staff, and an administrative team of eight. Being locally owned and operated is a huge advantage for those requiring care. We are nearby and readily available, which means decisions can be made quickly. It also gives us the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever-changing care needs.
