Are you one of the 40,000 households or businesses affected by the Infinity Cable safety recall? Are you dreading the thought of going through the renovation process again and having to manage all the trades needed to fix the problem? You’ve been through the process once, now you have to start again!
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) says Infinity and Olsent cable ranges, sold widely through 18 retail groups including Masters Home Improvement, Thrifty and Mitre 10, could become brittle and spark fires from 2016 and onwards. Of the 4000 kilometres of cable sold, nearly half - 1849 kilometres - was to New South Wales consumers between 2010 and 2013.
TJS Facility Services can provide you with a complete project management service, which includes the provision of all trades to remedy the problem. Replacing the faulty cables is only one part of the process and depending on the building, destructive work may be necessary to gain access to the cables. We will manage every aspect of the project for you from pre-build preparations including protection of carpets and furniture, cutting and patching plasterboard, organizing or working with your designated electrician, fixing up the paint work and doing a post-construction clean of the affected areas. Get the job done quickly and with minimum disruption. Avoid delays by having the one company organizing the trades and schedules to complete the project from beginning to end.
