The story of Parkers Sydney Fine Art Supplies starts with Tesla Framing works, this company was purchased by S.A Parker (Sydney Albert Parker) in 1917, who was the founder of SA Parker Framing works named in 1920. This was soon to become the leading framers in Sydney. SA Parker provided many quality frames to the artists and galleries of Sydney, Parkers worked with artists such as George W. Lambert, Hans Heyson, Grace Cossington-Smith and Margaret Preston, many of these still hang in the Art Gallery of New South Wales (AGNSW) today. The AGNSW made a book published by the Art Gallery of NSW about the Parker history after a donation of historical records and photographs the AGNSW by the Parker family.
