Chelmsford Farm Machinery : Chelmsford Farm Machinery was established in 1986 as a family owned business operating from our farm in the beautiful Manning Valley. Initially supplying used tractors and new implements, it quickly outgrew the farm infrastructure and the business was relocated into the industrial area of Taree. In 1994 Chelmsford Farm Machinery was approached to take over the marketing of the Kubota Tractors and Krone hay equipment in the Manning, Great Lakes, Gloucester, Wauchope and Kempsey areas. Kubota proved ideally suited to council, small acre, beef and dairy applications. Quality, value for money and aggressive pricing has made Kubota Australia's number one selling tractor brand, and local buyers have embraced this outstanding product. In 1999 Chelmsford Farm Machinery moved to purpose built premises which is their current location on the main road through Taree. With over an acre of ground, a large workshop, dramatically expanded parts department and increased inside and outside display area for new and used equipment, the business quickly grew to be the number one agricultural dealership in the area. The list of products has continued to expand including; front end loaders, ride ons and zero turn mowers, brush cutters, chainsaws, and a large range of implements. Dealer principal, Grant Johnston uses the business philosophy, towards everything Chelmsford Farm Machinery sells, "would I buy one myself? if the answer is no then we won't sell it." As a farmer I knew what to expect from machinery and if it won't do the job for me then how can I sell it to someone else? The hands on approach has proven a successful business formula with Chelmsford Farm Machinery, continuing to be a major source of information and advice to new and existing customers. Feel free to email or phone us with your enquiries or for pricing. We are here to help.

Historically, the firm is one of the oldest in the area but modern practices and techniques adopted by the ‘chain’ of surveyors involved have ensured the growth of it’s services to the Manning River and surrounding districts. Currently McGlashan and Crisp Pty Ltd employs two highly qualified surveyors, Eric Gilfillan and Rodney Thomson with a support staff of Craig Willet, Florian Huber, Mark McKeown, Linda Ferguson and Elyce Gilfillan.
