In 1990 the decision was made to enter a new market through the purchase of the well established Hiscock's Saddlery located in Tamworth, NSW. The company further grew in 2004 with the acquisition of Riding High Saddlery located in Dubbo, NSW. The NCHA has 53 affiliates that conduct shows, practice days and clinics throughout Australia. All levels of competition are catered for with over 200 shows taking place throughout Australia culminating with the NCHA National FInals. HIgh Point Awards are highly prized and competitors travel many kilometres to achieve success. The NCHA was formed in Australia in 1972 and is an affiliate of the American National Cutting Horse Association. Events are held around the world totalling over $20 million annually. Australia now exports cutting horses and trainers to the USA on a regular basis and sends Non Professional Teams to compete overseas. Cutting has grown from its origin into a highly competitive Australian and world wide equine sport.

The Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre (AELEC) is the most unique livestock events complex in Australia. AELEC attracts about 7000 competitors, 9000 horses and 16, 000 head of cattle each year. That equates to about 120, 000 visitor nights and makes it a major economic contributor to the Tamworth region. Designed to cater for large events and the largest of its kind in Australia, event organisers and competitors find AELEC's facilities to be a world-class standard and ideal for their equine disciplines. In addition to equine breeding and sporting association shows and clinics, AELEC hosts a number of other events including the Tamworth Show, cattle sales, major trade shows, indoor motorcycle racing, motorcycle rallies. 
The Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre in Tamworth is a purpose-built showcase with seating for approximately 4000 people. Customers appreciate the easy entry process, ample parking, and friendly staff. The venue offers a large arena with numbered sections and alphabetical rows of plastic seats, as well as various food and beverage choices. While some find the food expensive, others enjoy the clean facilities and helpful staff. Visitors recommend dressing warm due to the large, closed-in space and bring fans if alcohol is served as doors may be closed for events. Many express admiration for the talented performers and animals, and some note the venue's excellent facilities.
