The objective of Arthritis & Osteoporosis WA is to reduce the incidence and disabling effects of arthritis, osteoporosis and related conditions in the people of WA. The Western Australian Arthritis & Rheumatism Foundation (WAARF) was inaugurated in October 1972, as a non-government organisation, through the efforts of Drs Phyllis Goatcher, Evan Owen and Roger Dawkins. Its first home was an office freely offered by the ANZ Bank in Murray St. Its main aims were care, education and research. In 1991, the organisation's name was updated and changed to its present form. From this modest beginning, the Foundation opened its own custom built Resource Centre in 1994 after a successful Capital Fundraising Appeal, naming the building after Mr Bill Wyllie in appreciation of his significant personal contribution. In addition to staff offices, the Wyllie Arthritis Centre houses a hydrotherapy pool, gymnasium, seminar and board rooms, café, book shop and leased office space to other tenants. Arthritis & Osteoporosis WA offers a range of support groups and branches which have evolved from the self-help courses conducted over the years. As the population ages, the incidence of arthritis, an umbrella term for over 100 types of disease, is increasing at alarming rates and in 2004 was made the 7th Health Priority by the Federal Government, enabling state wide Foundations to benefit, by access to government funding. Alinea is dedicated to supporting elderly individuals and people with disabilities in the Western Australian community. Formerly known as the Spine and Limb Foundation, the Organisation was established in 2012 as the amalgamation of the Paraplegic-Quadriplegic Association of WA Inc. founded in 1955 and the Civilian Maimed and Limbless Association of Western Australia Inc. founded in 1945. The Organisation combines the strengths and expertise of both former associations to meet the needs of those requiring support and has expanded its operations to include a wide range of services including; Aged Care & Retirement Living, Supported Employment, Home Care Support and Recreation Services. All of the services and programs operated by Alinea have been designed to cater for the individual needs of our members. Our dynamic approach to both aged care and disability has ensured that we continue to provide sustainable services to those who need it most.

Dogs' Refuge Home is a nonprofit organization where customers have had positive experiences adopting dogs. The facility is clean and the dogs are well-cared for. Some customers had unfortunate experiences with staff members making assumptions about their suitability as pet owners based on their living situations or pet ownership history. Despite these incidents, the general feeling towards the organization is positive. The volunteers and staff work hard to ensure the dogs have hygienic living conditions and are well-loved.
