The SANFL’s Under 18s competition. Come watch the stars of tomorrow in a competition that brings SA’s most talented teens together to play at an elite level. Macca’s Cup is a 23-round competition second only to the League competition in SA in terms of prestige. The season will run parallel to the League competition, with the Grand Final held on October 9. The competition will feature players under 18 but there will be a provision for six overage footballers to participate each week. Giving kids every opportunity to have fun and succeed in sport is a passion that both McDonald’s and the South Australian National Football League share, which is why McDonald’s has come onboard as the naming sponsor for both the U18s Macca’s Cup and the Macca’s U16 Talent Shield. McDonald’s will also assist in other junior levels of football - so as kids progress through the SANFL underage ranks, McDonald’s will be with them every step of the way. NAFC Under 16 & 18 Heat Policy In accordance with the SANFL Heat Policy Regulations, and in conjunction with advice from JLT Insurance, we will not train if the temperature on the morning of training is listed at 38 degrees or above in the Advertiser for that day. The Under 18’s will still be required to be at Semaphore South Beach (Map 91 F10 - 2010 UBD Directory) instead of Prospect Oval by 5. The Under 16’s will have a night off, but are encouraged to go swimming, or do a part of the fitness program handed out if the evening cools down.
