Sydney, 9th November 2017 – On Thursday, private day tour operator, Runaway Tours, announced a significant growth in tour numbers, attributing this growth to its diverse product portfolio and the increase in tourists from Asia.
Steve Arnerich, owner of Runaway Tours, says: “We cater for the international corporate and luxury inbound tourist, and specialise in foreign language private day tours. We have previously noticed that many tourists, especially corporate guests, tend to stay in Sydney and only visit Darling Harbour, or Kings Cross.”
“However, with our corporate clientele and the organisations we work with, we have actively taken the approach to offer tours outside of Sydney and have been very successful in converting sales,” Arnerich adds.
With China set to outgrow New Zealand as Australia’s largest inbound market, Runaway Tours is expecting to further increase its sales.
“Our Chinese market has been growing steadily over the past few years. Chinese tourists want real experiences and to learn about a destination, but in their own language. We won't place them within a large group with other languages and interpreters on the same bus. They’ll get their own private vehicle with their own private tour guide who speaks their language,”
