Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Proserpine is conveniently located within walking distance of the town centre. Our centre is located near many local businesses including grocery stores, schools and our local hospital. Proserpine is a small community which is evident as our long day care centre is the only centre within 20km. Our child care centre caters to the needs of children ranging from six weeks to school age and also offers before and after school care facilities, with vacation care available during school holidays for children aged 5-12 years. We aim to be an inclusive centre and welcome all new families. Our educators at Goodstart Proserpine consist of a diverse team with members varying in ages and experience. We are proud to say that we now have an early childhood teacher as part of our vibrant team to deliver our Queensland Government approved Kindergarten Program. Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school. Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam. We strive to achieve the best quality care for the children in our centre and believe this is possible through open communication with all of our families.
