Looking for a quality POS system that doesn’t drain your business of monthly costs? Most POS systems involve recurring costs and fees, which means you have ongoing expenses. It’s much better to find a system that you can purchase once and enjoy forever. That system is POSiSales.

It’s an app that runs on iPad, but links easily to business POS accessories like cash drawers and receipt printers. Specifically, Star Micronics printers and the all-in-one mPOP cash drawer/printer are supported. You can run multiple discrete iPads with the POSi app, with each iPad printing to the same or designated printer(s) over a wireless network or Ethernet local area network.

Reports from each iPad can go to the same or a different Dropbox.

POSiSales (POSi for short) can be setup to work for one account, but on different iPads located in various locations in your business. Think different POS locations. Items in each product category can be setup to print to a specific printer. If you were in a home improvement store, let’s say, then the POS system in the gardening area would be linked to the printer in that zone. POS in the plumbing area would print there, and so on. Same goes for restaurants or any other business that may have different printers for different POS locations.

When setting up POSiSales for your business, the app accepts customer details, but there is no need to track customers if it’s not required. Type in your products or services, configure Bluetooth, a wireless connection or ethernet LAN to the device(s) you want POSi to connect to, but note, an Internet connection is not essential. Add products in 40 different categories and each category can group 30 items, making it very fast and easy to view and select products, which is another strong POSi feature.

To make a sale, the user selects from the 1200 products and adds them to the invoice; there are up to 100 open invoices that can be selected should you be running under a “Tables” “Jobs” or “Sets” setting. POSi totals the sale, factors in the tax rate for the country you are in and stores the data for a report to Dropbox that provides line item details, tax collected, profit and payment method. Each invoice remains open until payment has been received.

Customers may split the bill, which is supported by POSiSales. A customer can even receive a quote or “Sales Order” prior to proceeding the purchase. Once settled, the invoice prints rapidly to post the transaction. A selection of payment types including cash or credit card is supported and any change due is calculated automatically.

POSi lends itself to taking an order and payment over the phone. Or you can create an invoice once an agreement to provide products eventuates, and even add to the order until it’s time to collect payment and post the invoice. Customers will receive their invoice via email, directly from POSi.

Sales are automatically consolidated into a CSV report and sent to Dropbox. You can view reports anytime.

Tyro EFTPOS is already integrated into POSiSales.

And of-course, a Till reconciliation feature tallies cash received compared to the Till float.

Products and prices can be changed globally via spreadsheet, then re-imported, rather than making individual POSi product changes, if there are many adjustments.

The POSi app is dead-easy to use, so it frees you up to engage with customers, take their order, then post the invoice without hassle.

POSi has unique features that allow fractional quantities to be invoiced (e.g. half a tonne of sand). POSi allows you to set the printer to zero output, if no receipt is required. POSi can be used inflight, or out in the field, as Internet access is not essential.

A “Quick Cash” button can be enabled to speed up, for example, morning coffee customer throughput as they throw money into the Till, grab their coffee, whilst POSi records the transaction as you tap the “Quick Pay” button – no receipt is issued, but the invoice is recorded.

Finally, POSiSales can be set to allow discounts, serving up to 100 clients concurrently, using different currency and tax regimes (e.g. VAT, Tax, GST), including Dollar ($), South African Rand (R), Pound Sterling (£) and Euro (€).
