Wentworthville Blocked Drain Repairs

10 July 2013

Few people realise that most blocked drains can be easily avoided by simply refraining from depositing foreign objects down the drain. Most Wentworthville blocked drain repairs we perform are blockages caused by debris build up and harden fat which occurs when people pour cooking oil down the sink.

Most of our blocked drain repairs are rectified using a high pressure water jetters and the tool simply blasts high pressure water into the sediment causing the drain blockage. This breaks apart and disperses the built up sediment causing the blockages.
Although most drain blockages can be avoided its blockages caused by tree roots that penetrate the pipework that can be little more difficult to rectify. These types of drain blockages are caused by paper and foreign objects becoming caught around the tree roots which eventually cause the pipe to become blocked. To repair drain blockages caused by tree roots that penetrate pipework usually requires excavation work to replace the affected area of the blocked pipework. By using electronic pipe locating equipment we can often minimize the excavation area which reduces repair costs and any damages caused by the repair work.

Plumber Wentworthville can also use chemical treatments which inhibit the regrowth of tree roots into the pipework after we have cleaned out and cropped away the tree roots that are penetrating the pipework with our root cropping drills and water jetters. This can be an effective means of ensuring that the blocked pipework stays clear and free flowing without the need for expensive excavation work.
