What we now know as Mangles Bay Fishing Club was once known as 'Marchant House', a place for fishermen. Then, in 1973, the Point Peron Professional & Amateur Fisherman's Association came into being with Eric Carruthers as it's founding president. A portrait of him still adorns the clubhouse walls. This association was later incorporated in 1983 to become the club we know now. The membership at that time totalled less than 125 members and membership was much sought after. Even then, our boat launching facilities and the hardstand area was greatly in demand. Lately, we have been host to quite a few parties and the majority of guests have commented on how lovely a spot this is. Of course, we're happy to keep all this our special secret. Member Feedback Members suggestions or constructive criticism are welcome and may be either placed in the suggestion box or given to your Committee. Consequently, our operating hours are limited to the following: Office Hours Sundays 12noon - 3pm Bar Hours Mon to Thurs 3pm - 7pm Friday 2pm - 10pm Sat 12noon - 8pm (if there is a function the bar is open until midnight) Sun 2pm - 8pm Note: Our bar staff are all volunteers who have undergone a course in the Responsible Service of Alcohol. The club appreciates the time and effort that these volunteers have given to the club and abuse will not be tolerated. Any member or guest found to be abusing the staff will be asked to leave the premises. 
Mangles Bay Fishing Club is a lovely and quaint venue with breathtaking views, beautiful surroundings, and friendly staff. Customers appreciate the affordable bar prices and the great atmosphere, making it an ideal place for functions and weddings. Some have mentioned the issue of needing to be a member or be signed in by one to access the venue. The view of fish, sting-rays, and crabs passing by is a major highlight.
