On the average day, the hospital will admit 60 patients, treat 40 patients in the Emergency Medical Centre (EMC), undertake 25 operations, prepare over 700 meals and process over 5, 000 pieces of paperwork. Noosa Hospital is the only BOOT (Build Own Operate Transfer) Hospital in Queensland. The hospital is a privately owned hospital and has a contract with Queensland Health to provide some public health services to the people of Noosa and surrounding areas.
