The congregations of the Uniting Church in the City came into being in 2003, affirming our unity in diversity, and agreeing to work together to further God's mission. Mission is primary purpose for our existence. The desire of the congregations of Ross Memorial, St Andrews, Trinity and Wesley was to develop new mission activities focused locally within the City of which would most effectively be achieved if the four congregations worked together. Since 2003 we have made significant progress towards fulfilling this desire. 
This church is described as having a great, homely community with Western pastors and regular Bible study sessions involving Chinese co-workers. The services are well-received, with good music and a nice group of people. Some reviews mention the size being just right.
