Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Menai is located in the tranquil leafy suburb of Menai which is located just over half an hour from Sydney CBD. Our centre is a purpose built centre boasting four well sized classrooms. Our carers and teachers believe that children learn through play, that the most important people in the child’s life are their family and that each child is a unique individual. We implement this in our daily happenings by providing fun, play based programs which are derived from developmental objectives and take into consideration each child’s needs and interest. Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school. Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre. Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. Our two play areas have sandpits, verandahs, lots of natural space and is well shaded. Each of our rooms have a pet to nurture and there are weekly excursions to our library as well, to add to our knowledge base and level of understanding.
