Capoeira ACDP Australia aims to teach and promote Capoeira. Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian cultural practice, an art form that involves sport, body expression, music and tradition. Capoeira promotes mutual respect and inclusion between diverse individuals and communities. ACDP was founded in 1973 in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) by Mestre Pantera. Since 2015, Estagiário Camaleão has been teaching Capoeira in the southern suburbs of Melbourne (classes are currently held at the Elwood Bowls Club). We acknowledge the people of the Woi wurrung and Boon wurrung language groups of the eastern Kulin Nation on whose unceded lands we we live, learn, work, and play Capoeira. ACDP Capoeira Australia also acknowledges the Traditional Custodians and their Ancestors of the lands and waters across Australia where we share our art form, and respectfully acknowledges the Ancestors and Elders of the First Nation’s peoples of Brazil and the Bantu, Jeje, Nagô, and Malês peoples from Africa. 
Capoeira ACDP Australia is a welcoming and inclusive martial arts school with a focus on Capoeira, music, and acrobatics. Students of all abilities are encouraged to participate in structured classes, fostering a positive and friendly atmosphere. Capoeira ACDP is easily accessible by public transportation and offers classes for both beginners and advanced students. Teachers are passionate and knowledgeable about the art, creating an open, free, and kind atmosphere.
