Spring has arrived at last and it is time for sprucing up your home. It is always lovely to see the the first blossoms of spring and if you plan to sell then a little extra refresh will make all the difference. A few pointers that could assist:
You could paint inside to freshen up the colours and light up the rooms
New cushions, towels and bed linen will give life to a neutral colour scheme
Do all the minor maintenance jobs that have been left during the colder winter months.
De clutter your home as potential buyers like the feel of space and too many knicknacks can detract from this. This is the perfect time to make decisions of what is necessary for keeping and what is taking up valuable space
Fresh flowers not only add a beautiful look but can bring a hint fragrance as you walk by.
You could reposition your room layout to give a new look to your home. Take out most of the pieces in the room and start again, bringing back a major piece (like a lounge) and then some accessories like a rug or lamp and then slowly bring back the rest of the furniture.
Some rooms such as the bathroom or kitchen may need to be freshened up such as re-tiling and new taps and accessories. Sometimes simple changes such as these might be enough to give a new lease of life and give added value rather than being a full renovation.
Update your carpets or use rugs to give a lift from the bottom up.
