July 2008 saw Wideband Networks merge with Westvic Broadband to create Aussie Broadband. The two businesses were very similar, and covered different geographic regions. In August 2008, Aussie Broadband was again approved to provide subsidised Satellite and wireless services under the Australian Broadband Guarantee program. The Directors and staff of Aussie Broadband live and work in Morwell, Warrnambool & Adelaide.
