AN EXPERIENCE We are a family operated business. Our recipes are inspired from childhood memories of mum's home cooking - the comfort of a bowl of mum's pho on a cold rainy day (nothing compares). Our parents, originally from the North of Vietnam migrated to South Vietnam in 1954 and the outcome was a fusion of both Northern and Southern Vietnamese cuisines. Having grown up helping mum in the kitchen, our passion for food developed and a dream fulfilled in 2015, District 1 was born. Being first generation Vietnamese Australians, we wanted to preserve the tastes and authentic cuisine of Vietnam for our children and future generations.
