New height safety legislation comes into force 1st January 2012. It is part of the National Harmonisation of WHS laws in Australia.
The new laws among many other issues, will mean that as of January 1 2012, all construction work above 2m will require some form of fall prevention in place.
It also adresses Due Diligence under the Work Health and Safety Bill 2011, imposing a specific duty on officers of corporations and unincorporated bodies.
