Tech-savvy bookkeeping for small business
Australia is now home to a new and innovative bookkeeping service offering unique service for small businesses.
Jet Bookkeeping has taken the business of looking after accounts the next step by using the power of the Internet, streamlining processes to provide reports that are always up to date.
On-line banking data is matched with debtors and creditors to produce a set of books that gives business operators an accurate picture of their financial affairs at all times.
“We can produce about 30 dynamic on-line reports including profit and loss, balance sheet and debtors and creditors reports,” says Jet Bookkeeping accountant Monique Bock.
“We work with clients to decide which reports are the most important for their needs.”
Customers require no special software, they simply need to have internet access in order to upload all their business documents. If they don’t have the time or the equipment to create digital copies of paper documents, Jet Bookkeeping also offers a scanning service.
“The model appeals to small business because they don’t usually have the luxury of knowing the exact state of their accounts at any given time. For that you usually need dedicated in-house staff,” Ms Bock says.
Another unique aspect of Jet Bookkeeping’s service is using monthly plans to charge for its services. Company founder Alexander Kohl says: “A monthly plan really eases demands on cash flow. We work with clients to do an obligation-free assessment of their needs and what level of monthly plan they want. And we don’t lock them in with contracts.”
Because all accounts are internet based, all systems and data are backed up and secured to the same degree as on-line banking. Tech-savvy clients can even use an iPhone app to access their accounts.
At the end of the financial year, the client simply prints a report or gives their accountant access to their online books and their tax is taken care of.
Jet Bookkeeping is based on the Sunshine Coast and services clients remotely across Australia.
