Glenn ' Hakka ' Hartley - Owner and Head Instructor / Guide Christine Hartley - Owner and Support Prior to starting up Xterra Adventures, Glenn worked in the NSW Police Force for 20 years. He was stationed at a variety of locations in both the city and country. When he retired from the Police Force, Glenn decided he needed a ‘sea change’ and worked in a local kayak shop where he qualified as a Sea Kayak Instructor and Guide. In 2003, together with his wife Christine, they started Xterra Adventures and along the way have established an enviable reputation for offering quality kayak tours and courses. Glenn’s reputation is such that, in 2005 he was asked to travel to Espiritu Santo, the largest island in Vanuatu. There he spent two weeks working at developing kayak tours for a local resort. Running kayak and mountain bike tours led Glenn into Adventure Racing and Triathlon. He has completed two Australian Ironman triathlons and a heap of Half Ironman triathlons, and adventure races. More recently, Glenn and Christine have recommenced scuba diving after a long layoff. They both have a deep love and respect for animals and our oceans, and support a range of conservation and animal welfare charities. Glenn provides an experienced, fun approach to his kayak tours and courses. He has hand picked his staff to work in with his vision of providing his clients with relaxed, enjoyable, and often, life changing experiences.
