SBH Queensland provides information, therapy and other services to adults and children with spina bifida and hydrocephalus and their families in Queensland, Australia. The Babies at Home program provides family support to families from the time of diagnosis of the condition as well as therapy to babies until they start a formal education program. Once they start formal education the Education and Therapy Service takes over. The Babies at Home program receives no government funding and relies on donations and fundraising to operate. In 2012-13 and 2013-14 Westfield Corporation has provided most of the funding for the program which has helped enormously. Education and Therapy Service provides occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language pathology, social work and education advice to children and families with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and provides advice and support to teachers and other professionals. SBH Queensland receives financial support from the Department of Education, Training and Employment to help run this program. GOALS program teaches adults with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus some of the skills needed to live well. The Queensland Department of Communities - Disability Services provides a subsidy to help run this program.
