Description

The Zig Zag Railway delights the hearts of children and the minds of train enthusiasts. It is a magical step back in time, filled with sights, sounds and smells of an era past by. Trains run daily (except Christmas Day) at 11am, 1pm, 3pm from Clarence Station. Additional Trains run on Sundays and some public holidays.

Company description

The Zig Zag is a full size, narrow gauge tourist railway located at Clarence, ten km east of Lithgow in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia.

Built in the 1860s, the line was constructed to transport people and produce from the western plains of NSW to Sydney. It was replaced in 1910 by a 10 tunnel deviation.
