The Eastern Goldfields YMCA's Board, staff members and volunteers develop programs and activities according to the needs of its local community, underpinned by the Mission Statement, values, service philosophy, and the characteristics reflected in the objectives of the Eastern Goldfields YMCA. The objectives of the Eastern Goldfields YMCA include: Providing a wide range of recreational, sporting and entertainment activities, including those that offer adventure and physical challenge. Assisting people, particularly young people to develop a self image, confidence and the ability to take responsibility for their own lives. A dedication to influence the generations by exhibiting Christian values which represent the principles we hold in highest regard. Providing a range of personal development and leadership training opportunities to assist people to achieve their full potential. Providing opportunities for young people to socialise and establish relationships in a safe environment. Ensuring that all programs and services are accessible to all people including those with disabilities, from different ethnic backgrounds, low income families, and the unemployed.
