Witters first opened it doors for business more than 60 years ago. It was owned and operated by the Witter family who were based in Sydney, but boasted outlets in all states of Australia and New Zealand. They supplied Cleaning Cloths & Cotton Wadding to industries both nationally and internationally. The current owner Kevin Rowbotham, worked for the company's Melbourne branch (J. Witter) for more than 10 years firstly as a sales representative and ultimately as the factory manager. In 1981 he purchased the company from the Witter family choosing to maintain the identity as it was a well-known and prominent business in cleaning cloth supplies throughout Melbourne. For over 30 years Witters has been expanding their range of products to ensure businesses have a one stop shop for all their factory, office and home consumables. The name was changed to Witters Industrial Cleaning Cloths & Supplies to reflect the expanded range - now some 1, 400 different products.
