Don't touch these bastards with a barge pole! The vehicle, a Holden Special Vehicle Monaro GTO, had a few very minor scratches on the rear bumper and a quote was given. The vehicle was brought in, the repair started, then when they couldn't phone the owner asking for approval for the additional costs they undertook work that couldn't be reversed, and jacked up the cost by 39% extra. When making the initial quote they obviously made no allowance for the fact that HSVs use different components than standard Holdens. Presumably they didn't make any inquiries back to Holden, just assumed they knew what they were doing. With this huge increase in the repair cost compared to the original quote instead of waiting for approval to cut off components they went ahead assuming approval would be given. As the person paying the bill they had me by the balls as the bumber bar had already been removed involving cutting off components. Had I known this huge percentage increase was going to occur I would have gone to the opposition. We initially*****epair. Anytime in the future I'll be giving this crowd a wide berth and going with W********'s instead. They don't seem to know what they are quoting on. They didn't check with Holden to see if there would be any issues with HSVs. They undertook work that couldn't be reversed then jacked up the price.
