Weekender Camping Trailers - The Original & The Best, Caloundra, QLD

Hi Dennis You may remember Maurie and I; you visited us at Tanawha a few years back to give us advice on our Weekender Camper Trailer that we bought off you in Caloundra in 1993. It is still going strong and in fact we are off again in a couple of weeks' time. We have just finished replacing the main door zip with the zip on the adjoining screen door (hope it is strong enough). We have also repaired a few small holes in some of the windows and completely replaced 2 of the more damaged windows. This was done by hand (yes by hand, and we saved quite a few bob). The outfit has lasted so well thanks to your quality workmanship and the quality of the material used. The canvas has never leaked to this day. "I didn't know it at the time, but when I bought a Campomatic camper trailer in Auckland, New Zealand way back in the early 70's I was buying wonderful quality workmanship which had been supplied by Dennis Hulse. Dennis designed and was responsible for manufacturing the entire tent sections for all of this company's camping products and his workmanship has surely stood the test of time. Although I was working in another industry at the time I was so impressed with these products I became a part time employee of the company selling their campers at shows and fetes for several years. Following my move to Australia in 1979 I lost contact with Dennis and it was only an accidental meeting just a few short years ago when we met once again. I was delighted to see that Dennis had now set up on his own and was of course, maintaining the same high standard of workmanship and building campers in his own right.
