Water Leak Detection Sydney - National Leak Detection, Seaford, VIC

My experience says do not use National Leak Detection. Their website states, “No risk - guaranteed to find your leak or your money back!” and for roof leaks, “We utilise the industry’s latest technological innovations to ensure that the job is done properly.” I requested their services to find a roof leak and paid for an “Expert Leak Detection Report.” The technician did not use any technological innovations other than a hose, water and a spirit level. The report stated the leak was occurring at the west end of the steel roof decking and included a photo with arrows pointing in that direction. The report said, “Water is pooling in trays and backflowing into the roof space”. I then engaged a plumber to fix the leak and eventually he found the problem was some three meters away towards the east end of the steel roof decking. After I made a complaint to the company with photos showing the leak was not where the report said, they sent the same technician out. He claimed he said the east end of the roof would be where the leak was and said he had photos to prove he was right. He couldn’t find the photos. This was a totally different story to what was stated in the report. The managing director refuses to acknowledge that his company didn’t find the leak. After further communication he offered a 50 percent refund to close the matter. This is not the same as a guarantee to find your leak or your money back. I would not use this company in a fit.
