Unique and Smooth Movers, Parramatta, NSW

We booked unique and smooth movers after reading misleading positive reviews and several sites. These reviews are bogus. This is a shockingly unprofessional moving service, so please avoid at all costs. This was our 5th move in Sydney, with no change in furniture for the last 3 moves. The 2 men who came in from Unique and Smooth movers were old and not professional movers (they admitted to working as car cleaners and complained about being too old to work as movers). They did not have a clue about moving - in what sequence to load items, how to stack boxes, use belts in the moving truck etc. In fact, at one point 2 men together were moving 1 dining chair at a time through the lift. The first was carrying the chair and the other was walking along empty-handed chatting. Only 1 of the men worked, so my husband had to be the de-facto second mover to ensure we can even get the move completed. Despite mentioning the move was from a 3 bedroom house, they brought along a small truck meant for a 2 bed unit. Also, BEWARE of their tactics of loading small items first and then claiming to need a second trip for leftover big ticket items. Insist on first loading items you can’t move yourself. They refused to connect the washing machine taps. We also had a dent on our fridge and a dent on the wall of our rental. This "moving service" is an appalling waste of your money, time and you’ll end up doing most of the lifting yourself. Please avoid these guys and DO NOT trust google reviews. This is a genuine review (I can share booking details, receipt etc.) and I am posting it here to stop others from being fleeced by unique and smooth movers.
