No still cost $20 for the privledge of setting up a profile so you can actually visit the doctor. Honestly Cabramatta doctors need a look in. Some of the absolute worst health care I have ever received (or not received in other cases) have all been from Cabramatta

I arrived at the health centre at 9:30am hoping to be seen by Dr Cathy Tran, upon my arrival I was ignored by the receptionist who continued speaking loudly in Vietnamese to one of the other patients. When I was finally acknowledged, the receptionist took down my Medicare card, license and phone number. After she was done she then mentioned to me there was a $20 dollar upfront fee for "setting up the file". This took me by surprise as I have never been charged at a family GP for any sort of service when I clearly own a Medicare card. At this point I honestly felt obliged to continue and paid her the 20 dollars. After taking my money she proceeded to tell me it would be an hours wait and it'd be best if I went outside for "a walk' I looked around the room and there were only three patients waiting so I decided to stay in the waiting room hoping to see the doctor earlier. After an hour I noticed that there were people walking in and seeing the doctor straight away, I asked the receptionist and she advised that they had been here to secure a spot before me. At the time I thought fine, I guess I did come 30 minute after opening time, but this continued to happen, I counted at least 5 people who got to see the doctor before me. It had been just over 2 hours since I walked in at 9:30 am and my parking was up, I asked the receptionist if it was my turn yet and she advised there were still people infront of me. At that moment I decided I'd had enough of this ridiculous service and left. Honestly the worst service I've ever received, and to take down all your customer's details before informing them that there would be a $20 dollar fee + 1 hour waiting time (which actually means more than 2 hours) is just ridiculous. I walked out of there having paid 20 dollars to waste 2 hours of my working day. I will not be going back and I advise everyone else not to do so. *Edit - I am not reviewing Dr Tran as I did not even get a chance to see her. I am simply frustrated at how staff managed my situation and how upsetting it was to pay for a service I never received.
