The Framers started out as a framing workshop at the back of Aarwun Gallery in Gold Creek, framing only for the gallery and its clients. Realising that there was a demand for quality framing in Canberra’s North, in 2011 director Robert Stephens opened the doors to the public and The Framers started operating as a business in our own right. Robert Stephens has been in the framing and art industry for over thirty years. Since 2011, The Framers has grown from a small gallery-based operation to become a busy custom framing service with three professional framers, each of whom are trained in both designing and making frames. We have framed for many of Australia’s best loved artists over the years, including Norman Lindsay, Robert Dickerson, David Boyd and Pro Hart. We believe that we offer a unique service at The Framers. Our combined years of experience working in the art and framing industry give us the edge in design and technical expertise. Our staff make up a friendly and committed team who will take the time to make sure that your artwork and other items are displayed both beautifully and correctly.
