The Fat Goanna in Canberra is known for its friendly and efficient staff, good food, and excellent coffee. Some customers appreciate the gluten-free options and the unique experience of interacting with a mechanical waiter. However, a few have reported inconsistent service and overpriced meals. One customer had a negative experience with being asked to leave despite being a paying customer during their 'busy period'.
