The Bridge Effect by Child Development Institute, Northmead, NSW

The Bridge Effect is a paediatric allied health clinic based in Northmead, NSW, serving families across Western Sydney — including Parramatta, Westmead, Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills and surrounding suburbs.
Founded in 2018 as the Child Development Institute (CDI), we relaunched in 2025 as The Bridge Effect — a name that reflects our mission: bridging the gap between where a child is today and where they have the potential to be.

Speech Therapy
Our speech pathologists provide evidence-based therapy for speech sound disorders, language delay, stuttering and fluency, voice disorders, feeding and swallowing difficulties, literacy and reading difficulties, and multilingual language development. We also deliver autism speech therapy, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) support, apraxia of speech therapy, and early intervention speech therapy for children aged 0–6.

Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapists support children with sensory processing and sensory integration difficulties, fine motor skill delays, handwriting difficulties, self-care and activities of daily living (ADL) challenges, and executive function difficulties. We provide autism occupational therapy, feeding therapy, school-based OT, and sensory diet planning using neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based approaches.
While The Bridge Effect is not a registered NDIS provider, we proudly support NDIS participants who are plan-managed or self-managed, helping families access speech therapy and occupational therapy services within their NDIS plan.
