For over 14 years Andrew Hollands has developed his experience and his networks in Canberra’s hospitality industry. Andrew’s first big venture in 2008 was opening award winning restaurant Ellacure, located in Bruce. In early 2010 2617 Group expanded to include The Abbey Function Centre and Versatile Restaurant, a small but versatile venue. Versatile enabled 2617 Group to share their passion for good food and service with the public whilst making the amazing menu available to clients prior to their event. Creating yet another exceptional venue, in late 2011 Soju Girl was born, located in the Melbourne building right in the heart of Canberra City. Soju Girl is a modern Asian affair pushing the boundaries in food revolution. 2617 Group is now a vast resource of expertise, The Abbey alone has successfully hosted over 300 weddings and 500 functions. The mastery is not limited to just our venues; we are also involved in outside catering, charity events, cooking demonstrations, supporting local schools in the community and further developing a sustainable hospitality industry through training and development.
