Sydney Grammar School is a secular day school for boys located in the centre of the City of Sydney with preparatory schools in Edgecliff and St Ives. The secondary school on College Street, Hyde Park, extends eastwards to Yurong Street. The original buildings date to the 1830s. The School’s sportsground, known as Weigall, is located on Neild Avenue, Rushcutters Bay. It serves both the senior School on College Street and the Edgecliff Preparatory School. The boatshed, with full rowing facilities, is located at Wharf Road, Gladesville. College Street accepts boys from Form I (Year 7). The St Ives Preparatory School (Ayres Road, St Ives) takes boys from the age of 4 years and 4 months and Edgecliff Preparatory School (Alma Street, Paddington) takes boys from the age of 4 years and 9 months.
