Swan Principal's Introduction At Swan Christian College, we aim to provide a caring learning environment in which students are educated, encouraged and equipped to be people of passion and integrity. Our focus on pastoral care has arisen from our belief that real learning can be best achieved in an environment that is free from intimidation, and recognises and nurtures differences. Members of the teaching team at Swan Christian College have been selected for their ability to teach and encourage our students, as well as being authentic Christian role models. We believe good teaching comes from good people. So, as well as requiring excellent teaching qualifications, we look for adults with the ability to be mentors, encouragers and innovative thinkers. We are immensely proud of the way the students, parents and teachers at Swan Christian College have helped to create a community that embraces individuality while achieving an overall sense of unity. It is within this context of an international, Christian community, that students are able to seek personal, social, spiritual and academic growth. This helps form the framework of the Swan Seven Pillars, where students leaving the College will have been afforded the opportunity to develop Knowledge, Courage, Service, Wisdom, Engagement, Leadership and Spirituality.
