I had a friend named Kevin who was a very close friend to me. I grew up with Kevin and we even went to the same university together. We both got married and had a few kids of our own. Kevin was a very healthy and active man who loved his family and loved working out. Unfortunately, life gives us unexpected events and that is what happened with Kevin. He was in a car accident with someone who was on their mobile and not paying attention. He became paralysed and had to be hooked up to a machine in order to survive. He was brain dead and there was no hope of him ever returning to his normal life. Like most people Kevin’s age, he did not fill out a will. He thought he was too young to fill out a will and because of that there was no estate planning done for all of his assets. This left a mess for his wife and family. The court took charge of all of his assets because there wasn’t a will. Because of my friend Kevin, I have decided to create this blog. I don’t want anybody else to go through what he and his family have gone through. It is never to early to start your estate planning.
