Strathearn is a not-for-profit organisation governed by a voluntary board of directors that are committed to developing quality aged care services in Scone and surrounding areas. Today Strathearn provides accommodation and care for up to 170 residents in a mix of 80 high care (nursing home) places, 21 low care (hostel) places and independent living units for up to 68 residents. Situated approximately 250km north west of Sydney, Scone is a delightful country town with a range of attractions to interest all tastes. With magnificent countryside and national parks, Lake Glenbawn - the largest of the Upper Hunter waterways, over 70 horse studs dotted around the shire, picturesque villages, and a range of tasteful shopping venues to browse.
