Strategic Marine had its origins in Geraldton Boat Builders, one of Australia's leading aluminium shipbuilders. Between them, the two companies have designed, built and delivered more than 360 quality craft, which include Government high-speed patrol boats, offshore oilfield service vessels, Harbour and Towage Vessels, Passenger Vessels as well as commercial fishing boats. The first decade of operations saw a rapid level of growth, with the Company winning new orders to the value of over US$420 million. Since its incorporation in 2001, Strategic Marine has focussed on offshore crew boats and support vessels, as well as high-speed patrol boats. Strategic Marine's growing portfolio has seen the Company's capabilities expand to offer larger, purpose-built and designed steel vessels. The shipbuilding company also offers maritime solutions to clients, including Refit and Repair, Project and Finance Management, and Training and Logistics services. The company is in the process of ramping up its production facilities at all of its yards to give it the capacity to meet escalating demand from the global shipping industry. Strategic Marine will continue to focus on expanding their business within the international market as they move to diversify the Company's areas of operations to meet global demand.
