The State Library of South Australia is the largest public reference library in South Australia with a collection focus on South Australian information and general reference material for information and research purposes. provide information, research and referral services for the community, actively collect, preserve and give access to the state's documentary heritage (both historical and contemporary), provide public programs which enhance the cultural life of the state, provide support to South Australian public libraries network, and cooperate with other state and interstate agencies to enhance economic, educational and social benefits of the state. Strategic Plan 2014-2017 The State Library has released its Strategic Plan for 2014-2017 which identifies five priorities that focus on our customers, collections, digital responsibilities, cultural role and the people and partners we need to make it happen.
