Description
St John of God Health Care acquired Mt Alvernia Mercy Hospital in February 2005, renaming it St John of God Bendigo Hospital. St John of God Health Care is proudly continuing the Catholic tradition and mission of providing excellence in health care at Bendigo, which was started by the Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood who founded the hospital in 1961
Company description
It offers medicine, surgery, obstetrics, day surgery, coronary care, coronary angiography, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, sleep disorders, home nursing and allied health, including a private physiotherapy practice, heated pool and gym. The hospital does not have an Emergency Department. St John of God Health Care is committed to investing in the hospital's future, developing services and facilities to serve the regional and rural communities of Bendigo and central and northern Victoria.
