Square Peg Careers is a boutique career & leadership development consultancy established in 2003 by Caitlin Burns. Caitlin is an experienced and qualified career development consultant and coach. Her work includes career development and career transition coaching, leadership development coaching and workshop facilitation in government, corporate and not for profit environments. She is also a regular career development lecturer at RMIT. In her work as a career and leadership development coach Caitlin partners her clients as they explore their personal leadership style, understand and tap their potential, develop career and leadership goals and execute action plans and strategies. Her clients value her insight, integrity and humour as well as her ability to blend the theory and practice of leadership & career development. She works as a coach with a diverse range of clients across a number of leadership development programs in industries ranging from technology, banking & finance, government agencies, local government and not for profit. Her work as a career development consultant and coach has been recognised by her peers, having received the Miles Morgan Award for Excellence in Career Development Services in 2008 for her innovative JobREADY Career Development Program developed for vision impaired job seekers. Her professional background incorporates both industrial relations and human resources experience in government, manufacturing, health & fitness, rural services and professional associations where she has thrived on roles in changing and challenging environments. Together with post graduate level qualifications in career development, Caitlin is an accredited Myers Briggs Type Indicator facilitator, a certified EQi 2.0 Emotional Intelligence professional, a New Directions accredited counsellor and possesses Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training and Bachelor of Arts.
