I realised the crack had been there for a year or so, but hadn't got around to doing anything about it. Last week I put my foot through the shower base and down the concrete slab. Luckily I didn't hurt myself worse than a couple of scratches. I googled Arthur and he was out the next day to repair it. Interestingly I got two quotes and they both said the base had to be fully replaced and would be out of action for 5 days. Arthur's repair looks as good as new and I used the shower again the next day. And it was less than a third of the price of a full replacement.
