Joe Vella Insurance Brokers (JVIB) is a privately owned company that was established in Cairns in 1995. From relatively humble beginnings JVIB has grown from strength to strength and now employs 33 staff across three offices. Our ever growing client base currently consists of approximately 6, 000 individuals, partnerships and companies. The company’s aim is to ensure that all clients enjoy the choice of a wide range of insurance and financial solutions to enable them to better run and protect their businesses and family assets. This goal is enshrined in the company motto “Business Without Boundaries”. Strong business acumen has played an important role in the growth of JVIB and our client list. In October 2004, JVIB purchased De Iacovo and Strike Insurance Brokers based on the Atherton Tablelands with an office in Mareeba. This purchase was our first external operation and soon after, to cope with client demand, we opened a third office in nearby Atherton. July 2005 saw the purchase of FNQ Tropical Insurance Brokers, which was integrated with JVIB’s head office in Cairns. JVIB then acquired the Far North Queensland portfolio of Rocksure Insurance Brokers, a subsidiary of The Rock Building Society, in July 2007 which was also fully integrated with head office.
