Radio Symban, Hurlstone Park, NSW

Radio Symban was founded in April 1997 by Angelo Matsoukas, a person with a wealth of knowledge in radio both in Greece and in Australia since the 1970s. The vision of Angelo Matsoukas and his colleagues was to create a radio station with a 24 hour Greek radio programme which would respect the political and religious convictions of all listeners, a value which has been respected by all and which makes up the philosophy of the station until today.

The station began transmitting on 151.675 MHz on Sunday April 6th, 1997 from its studio in Sydney, serving the Greek community of Sydney. The dedication and professionalism of management and staff was such that the station won the love of its listeners and respect and recognition of Greek radio circles abroad.
